When a fighter throws a head kick, the coach holding pads has about a second to present a target. The Legend Thai Pad 2 (JE-6313A-1) makes that job easier with a deep curve that cups around the arm and a face wide enough to catch kicks that drift off line.
How thick is the padding?
Thick enough for heavyweight kickers, but layered so it flexes rather than feeling like a board. Coaches with old wrist injuries prefer this feel.
Do the straps fit bigger forearms?
Yes. The Velcro straps run long, and the elastic section stretches without losing grip. XL comfortably fits most adult coaches.
The curve is the whole point of a thai pad. Ours holds its shape because the foam is molded, not just stuffed in. Each kick lands in the pocket of the pad instead of sliding off the edge, which means the fighter gets clean feedback and the coach takes less stray impact on the elbows.
